The work I create are inspired by my love of nature: from varied landscapes, the vast ocean seascapes, blossoming florals, and wildlife animals. I have also come to enjoy painting and drawing portraits of people and animals, whether they may be real or fantasy. My art practice includes oil painting, acrylic and other water-based painting, alcohol inks, resin, and drawing with charcoal and pastel pencils. Although I enjoy creating representational art, especially hyper-realism, I am also drawn to the creative process of combining abstract practices with realism. Photography and digital art have also become a growing practice of mine, too. I utilize Procreate on my iPad to create abstract pieces, either as a muse for painting or creating original ideas for limited edition prints. Taking photographs of my original drawings and paintings and combining them into a digital art form has also brought my creative process to a whole new level within the digital art and print-on-demand world.
